After three years of study and research, we present to you the first manuscript which describes the richness of fauna of amphibians and reptiles on the property of the Hilandar monastery and the surrounding area. It can be considered to be credibly illustrating the wealth of this group of vertebrates in the entire peninsula of Mount Athos. However, this is yet the first in a series of publications by which the Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia will present the natural values of this area
